New Used Cell Phones BuyBack Program!

Cash 4 Phones is Cellular Trendz new buyback program.

Don’t just recycle your phone, get money for it!

Studies have found that most people have one or two used cell phones lying around the house, replaced by a new model. Why do used cell phones lie around? Most people know that it’s bad for the environment to throw electronics away, and that most e-waste contains valuable metal which can be recycled.

Even better, extend the life of your used cell phones, sell them so someone else can enjoy them!

Used cell phones go through a 27 point inspection before they are resold, and are sold with a 30 day gaurentee.

So, how do you get Cash 4 Phones? Click the link, then fill out your name and address, as well as what sort of make, model, and condition used cell phone(s) you want to get rid of. Then you’ll receive a quote on the value of your used cell phones!

Don’t like the quote? It’s no reason to throw e-waste away! Just find an e-waste recycling center near you, and for a total of about 15 minutes of your time you’ve managed to keep your footprint small!

What do you do with your used cell phones?

Palm, Which Retailed Unlocked Cell Phones, Dies

Palm Pre- RIP

If you follow tech news you’ve probably heard that HP is getting out of the computer-making business. While it had the more revenue, it had the lowest profit margins of all HP departments. Of course, those computers included Palm devices. Palm was one of the first US cell phones to release a device sold directly to consumers as an unlocked cell phone.

Palm OS, which HP renamed Web OS,only ever made it to two percent of the market (with Android and Apple dominating the rest). It’s release of unlocked cell phones was a huge step forward for the US cell phone industry, but failed to increase the brand’s popularity when unlocked iPhone cell phones are available online.

Unlocked cell phones are rarely sold directly to consumers as cell phone providers make more money by locking customers into contracts by subsidizing phones and holding monopolies over popular devices. Unlocked cell phones undermine all this, as they can be used on any GSM network, modified, and bought without a contract (often for less).

What will happen to Web OS? Some have speculated the software will be picked up by the open source community, although it’s still possibly for HP to sell the brand (though unlikely). Stuck with a no longer supported Palm phone? Upgrade to an unlocked cell phone that will work on your network.

Save Hundreds of Dollars Starting With Used Cell Phones

Used Cell Phones are the tip of the iceberg to saving money on your cell phone service. Do you know about no-contract plans to pair with your used cell phone? Well here’s 3 easy steps to save hundreds yearly:

1) The initial expense to a no-contract plan is the cell phone. Carriers heavily subsidize cell phones to get you locked into their contracts, but if you can afford the initial cost, you’ll save more money not taking their offer! Of course, when you buy a used cell phone the whole process becomes more affordable to begin, and in the end you’ll have more money saved!
2) Be brave. Ask your preferred carrier about their no contract plans! You could save between $20-$50 dollars a MONTH! (Of course, make sure that you have an unlocked cell phone before choosing a carrier, or that your used cell phone matches the service provider).
3) Profit! That is, enjoy your savings! And your used cell phone!

For shared plans, it may be cheaper to be on contract since adding lines costs very little…but you should still ask! And of course, even if you go with a contract, you’ll still save money with used cell phones for the entire family!

Unlocked Cell Phones Work Better

As Android cell phones start to take over the market, it may interest users to know that unlocked cell phones work better than their tied down counterparts!

How? When unlocked cell phones are free of restrictions, apps, and other software nonsense carriers like to pack onto the phones they sell in-store. Without carrier software running in the background, restricting use, unlocked cell phones run faster!

Unlocked cell phones also tend to have more memory because they aren’t carrying around carrier software. So if you are an app fiend (and Android has some great apps!) you might save money (by not having to delete old games) with the memory an unlocked cell phone provides!

How do you get unlocked cell phones? Well, you can risk doing it yourself, if you know how. Be warned: there’s the risk of turning your phone into a “brick”, rendering it useless and voiding the warranty. Instead, the safer bet is to buy unlocked cell phones direct, so you know they’ll work when you get them. Then you can hook it up to whatever GSM carrier floats your boat!

How much faster, in your experience, do unlocked cell phones work? Would you describe the difference as little or BIG?

What Are The Best Brands For Replacing Lost Cell Phones?

If you lose your cell phone frequently, it’s probably best to replace it with something cheap, and to avoid buying from your service provider (most service providers only provide special prices when you renew your contract, but most people don’t lose their cell phones with such perfect timing!).

Another way for the chronic cell phone destroyer to save money is buy buying used cell phones. Used cell phones are actually great, because if you are trying to get value from your phone, apps are actually a more important feature than the latest cell phone style.

Apps being the most important feature, the best used cell phones to buy are something with an Apple OS (Apple used cell phones are a great deal) or an Android OS.

1) Apple iPhones-iPhones, being so expensive new, are a great used cell phone. New or used, the app store provides great entertainment out of the cell phone.

2) Samsung offers a great selection of Android phones, and, like the iPhone, also makes for a better deal as a used cell phone because Samsung’s are a bit more expensive the first time round.

3) HTC are phones made with cutting edge features, at a lower price than either Apple or Samsung. For the best used cell phone deal, HTC is a winner.

Which App store do you like better? Android or Apple?
